Can you fill out paperwork using that, since this is what I am needing to
do?

I can also try to print with Freedom Import Printer, and could have a
fillable document, I just did that the other day.

Also, remind me where I would go to find the file associations I need to
check.

Thanks loads.

Judy

Do you have Adobe reader? There is an option there to set which prevents pdf
files from opening in a browser. Last I checked, even though Windows
"prefers" if you set all associations within itself, this still plays nicely
with Windows 10. Also go to your default file associations and check to see
what you have said for .pdf files.

I personally use a programme called qRead to open text pdf files most of the
time, now. It's really fast and doesn't take an age to deal with long
documents that I just want to read.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Attachments that open in Edge.

Hello,

I think I may have posted this awhile back, but I have received attachments
that, by default, want to open in Edge; I want them to open in my default
browser. Is there a way of preventing Edge from taking over? I have
Internet Explorer set as my default browser, yet the pdf attachment wants to
open in Edge.

The only work-around I have found is to save the attachment and open it that
way.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Judy
