I just go into the Jaws desktop properties icon and punch in a number in the shortcut prompt (which is automatically added to the control+alt sequence) and continue to tab to the OK button. I prefer to use the version number over the simple control+alt+J command since I usually end up with more than one version of Jaws on my system eventually. Control+alt+7 for JFW 17. Control+alt+8 for Jaws 18 and now for version 2018, I just chose control+alt+2 and will likely go to control+alt+9 when Jaws 2019 comes out later this year. You just have to redo this shortcut after installing every Jaws update which is easy enough.

I'm one of those former Window-Eyes users who went kicking and screaming over to JAWS. All that said, I only just yesterday started using JAWS for the first time. Anyway, my question is: Is there a keyboard shortcut for restarting JAWS if it and some other software don't play nice together? I'm asking because I'm an amateur radio operator (ham) and use an interface with a radio that when plugged into my PC, takes all the sound away, including JAWS. At that point, I need to restart JAWS, but see no keyboard shortcut to do this. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.--Matthew Chao For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
