That's how the new tab function works with IE11. However, it's confusing with
Firefox. With Firefox, I'll start entering the URL, only for focus to start
skipping around. Do others have this experience? Any suggestions?

When you hit ctrl-t, or ctrl-n, your cursor should be where you would enter a
URL. You should hear the "search or enter address" prompt.

Thanks, Jim. That's the answer to the question I asked. But now, when I open a
new tab, instead of getting just a edit field for the URL, I get a lot of
information through which I need to arrow up and down. Is that your experience,
too?

Hi, Adrian. Control + N should open a new Window. Control T opens a new tab.
Using ESL, latest version of Firefox.
