Hi Adrian & Josh,

To navigate Chrome Settings a little more quickly you can navigate by
heading after opening Settings.
1. Open Chrome, well duh LOL , press, Alt + F, for the file menu, and press,
S, to open Settings.
2. Now navigate by heading using the letter, H, and the headings you will
hear are, People, Appearance, Search Engine, Default Browser, & On Start-up.
For each heading down arrow line by line for the options of each heading.
Ignore the lines that say, Clickable, because when you down arrow one more
time you'll hear Jaws report the button that activates or deactivates the
options. If you hear, Button Pressed, that means the option is turned on,
and if Jaws only reports, Button, it's turned off.
3. If you press the letter, H, 1 more time after the, On Start-up, heading
you will hear Jaws announce, Advanced heading level2 button collapsed.
Press enter to expand the Advanced options and navigate the same way here as
explained above, by heading and up / down arrowing. Here are the headings
listed in order:

Josh,

I think I was mistaken about the quick settings menu item. There, spelling
options only enable you to select how spelling is reported, not whether to
report it at all.

Instead, the answer is in the Chrome menu. I don't really understand how it
works, but I can get you to the option:

Alt-f for file menu, then s for settings
Tab like a madman until you land on "Advanced."
Resume tabbing like a madman until you arrive at spelling options.

Yes I know about how to navigate quick settings. I haven’t used jaws in
about 10 years though, that was back when the state agency bought it for me.
But thanks to a nice combination of things, I am now able to buy it myself
without the help of a state agency. Which is very nice!

While focus is in a browser, open JAWS quick settings with JAWS key+v. An
edit field will appear. Type the word "spell" (without quotations. Wait a
moment, then arrow down to the results. Are you familiar with how to
navigate quick settings?

Hi
When reviewing text in edit boxes and browsers. Jaws keeps saying misspelled
for words that I know are not misspelled. How do I turn this off?

Josh
