Hi Fred, I have not had Norton on my system, so would prefer to leave the description of how to totally remove it to those who have done that. I do know that there is a Norton removal tool on the Symantec Web site. It may be you will need to use it. On the other hand, it may be, however, that there are still Norton entries in the add/remove section of the Control panel, which can be removed easily via add/remove. If you can't remove them, i.e., get an error while trying to do so, don't worry about that and let's see what others with more norton experience offer.

Thanks for setting me straight on Norton and my spelling. I am not very computer literate as I taught myself what little I know about computers using jaws tutorials and a couple of list like this one. Now that you have helped me with this, can you tell me how to rid myself of Norton? I have searched hard but found nothing, I thought I had uninstalled everything to do with Norton. Thanks much, ----- Original Message ----- >From: "Flor Lynch" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com> Sent: Friday, June 06, 2008 6:48 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] AVAST stops me from copying and pasting anythingfrom Internet. > You're sure that's not Norton?
