There is nearly always help for JAWS-related matter within JAWS itself. The
thing is to know how to access that help when you need it. there is
keyboard help with insert+1, and insert+h for "JAWS hot keys"; and insert+F1
for program help. There are hundreds of commands in JAWS and Windows. It
is sophisticated, and is simple only if you can make it so. Remember your
JAWS training materials. Read them, off-line (not on the computer) if you
can.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] my questions: about Jaws and the computer:

Hello: a quick question. David or Rick can decide whether this
should be discussed here or not, but my question is this. Think
back about when you first learned Jaws and the computer, and I
want to ask this question: Was it worth it? Do you presently use
it for your jobs? And what about the daily struggle to understand
how to do everything? Was it worth the trouble? Is it always a
learning thing even now for those who have known this technology
for a while? Do you ever level off where you know most of it, and
it's not so much of a battle? These are the questions I have been
asking myself since November when I got all this equipment, and
am trying so hard to learn everything, but there's always
something coming up I don't know how to do. Do you think this
has increased blind people's ability at all to get employment?
That was the reason I Thought I should do all that. Thanks. You
can respond off-list if this is not appropriate question for
here. Written by a large golden male guinea pig, named Quincy,
at the keys directed by Harpo the Seeing Eye dog, because their
mistress just accidentally spilled very hot mustard over her
Chinese food and is busy drinking loads of water to see it gone!
