I do not recall the issue that started this, and I have not used OE in a long time, as I use Outlook, but are you saying that JAWS does not read the list of messages, or doesn't read messages when opened? I do not recall if OE has other panes, such as a navigation pane and preview pain, but if so, make sure that they are unchecked in the VIEW menu. Also, make sure that the message window is maximized. When a message is open, can you read it when arrowing up and down? What happens when you do a "read to end"?
Actually, I have experienced this issue with Window Eyes, and it had to do with outdated set files. Are you sure that the proper script is loading?
