Hi Elaine,

Thank you so much for these very well written out step by step instructions.
I will send them to the person having the problems and hopefully these
instructions will resolve their issues. Again, thank you. Take care.
Mike

  Hi mike

  hmmm...I'll have a go. *smiles*

firstly, you have to log on to the gmail server with the account details,
  username and password.

I'm going to assume either you or the person have been there?

assuming you are using a screen reader, I'd change the view to make it
easier to read links. you can have this as default when you log in.

ok, so you should now be in your account on the in box page.

you need to get to the spam link. you can either arrow down to it or using
the links list, insert F7, then press the letter S for spam, until you
reach
that item. then hit enter to select and activate that link.

you should now be able to go down to the spam box.

I've just done this by hitting insert F6, then I looked for spam. there
were
two items here but it's the second one you want. that is of course if
your
  links have two spam items.

if this proves to be difficult, you can arrow down to where you will see a
lot of emails with links etc. these are the emails that Gmail has
blocked.

on the page it says "spam" then under that is a combo box which says, more
actions. this is a list of actions you can perform once you have
"checked"
  an email.

you can go through the list of course and if you find the email there you
can first check that email and then look for the button that says "not
spam"

the other way to do this is to just in put the person's name in to the
edit
search box and hope gmail can locate it from there.

sometimes gmail does add the wrong emails to this spam list, so if I know
I'm expecting an email and don't get it in outlook express, I go to this
page and go through the emails.

by placing a check on the email allows you to perform an action including
deleting these emails permanently from the google server.

as I said, I periodically go through this list and either delete the
emails
out right or mark them to go to the in box. then they are delivered when
you
next get emails from outlook express.

you can resend emails this way too.

as long as you have your emails kept on google server, you can always
retrieve emails this way that you might have deleted on outlook express.

trust me, it does come in handy to keep backup emails.

I hope this makes sense. I'm not that good at writing instructions.

  Elaine
