Hi,
No, the games and other third-party applications are not available on the mobile site. They are also not available on the Facebook Lite site, although you can access your groups and events.

The mobile site:

http://m.facebook.com

was developed for use with mobile devices, although some people with screenreaders prefer it to the regular site, which is cluttered with various advertisements, graphics, and flotsam that screenreaders might have trouble with.

In case people don't know, FB Lite came out in August and is only in the developing stages. People in the US who already have Facebook accounts can preview it by going to:

http://lite.facebook.com

It is not quite as stripped down as the mobile site, but it is optimized for users on slower or intermittent internet connections. Facebook Lite offers fewer services, excludes most third-party
applications and requires less bandwidth.

I personally have no problem using JAWS in conjunction with the main Facebook site. If anyone would like help with this, I created a two-part tutorial for Main Menu. If anyone would like a copy, please e-mail me privately.

Hth,
Erin

HI.

I am using the main site without too many problems.

I have found that some of the games work fairly well as long as you are able to navigate a web site effectively.

do you get the applications and games on the lite site?
 thanks

I don't know how it works with jaws 7 on the main facebook site, however,
once your account is set up, there are 2 alternative sites you can use.

The Mobile site, which should work well with jaws 7.
http://m.facebook.com

And then there is their beta site that is much easier to use than the real
site.
http://lite.facebook.com

Note that you already have to have a facebook account for either of these sites to work. There are many blind people using facebook, but most of them use the mobile site. The only thing you don't get on the mobile site is the
applications and games.
