I did exactly that. Used JAWS for the first part then Narrator for the rest. Now using Windows 7 Home Premium X64.

Hi everyone

I've done the first part of the win7 install without sighted assistance. If you do not boot from the win7 DVD but pop it into your current OS, you should complete most of the steps with jaws available.

Not sure how to do an entirely unattended install though.

Cheers
Dickson

I was wondering the same thing. How do install any operating system without
sighted help?

How do you actually do a clean install of Win 7 without sighted assistance?
Is installing a new OS something that should be attempted only by the
savviest of geeks?

I have just installed my windows 7 retail, clean install on my desktop pc.
Worked like a charm, no problems, installed all drivers itself with the
installation. I did not even have to look for my realtek audio drivers.
Everything works out of the box.
I am running jaws 10 latest build and all worked fine there too, it
automatically adjusted itself with the graphics drivers and said it is now
in windows 7 basic. So far no problems with jaws 10 reading everything,
navigating works very well.
Very impressed so far. Have two more systems to install now, lol
