Hi, pressing the alt key will focus to the ribbons. Yes installing 2007 will leave 2003 intact, however the start menu shortcuts will be replaced by the
2007 equivalents.

Just a quickie, and I'm sure it's stated obviously somewhere, but do you use

the alt key to access the ribbons in Word 2007 in the same way as it was
used to access the menu bar in previous versions? I have a copy of 2007 on
my desk but haven't installed it, sticking to 2003 at the moment.

Also, if I install 2007, will it replace 2003 or co-exist as a separate
program - I'm toying with installing it to play but don't want to lose 2003!

All the best,
Barry G

Sorry I forgot to change the subject line.. so I'm resending.

Chris is right that it's a matter of learning.
Let me encourage you, that the learning curve is relatively short, and
JAWS works very well with Word 2007.
I really like it.
Take some time to just explore each ribbon menu and make notes on the
items you think you will need.
There are quick key combinations for almost everything, and after you
learn them, you will be very comfortable with Word 2007.
Blessings,
Tom

Hi, all
I just started to use Word 2007 and noticed is so different from
2003. Are there setting that I can configure to make it more
accessible to me with jaws? I use the short key commands from 2003
and they work. But I just wanted to know if I can make more friendly
to me.

Kind Regard

Holger Fiallo
