I ran a repair and reinserted my ENU files back into my Jaws settings folder
and everything is fine, for now! Take care.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Word Doc problem

Hi All;

When using Jaws1.0.1447 if I open a Word document Jaws goes silent and it
can't be restarted. I have to turn the computer off by holding the power
button on the tower down until the computer turns off, then pressing the
button to restart it. When the computer restarts everything is fine, until
I try to open an existing word doc or open a new word doc or, even if I go
to the start menu and press enter on MS Word, then everything goes mute
again and I have to do a hard reboot, again. I have removed all files from
my ENU settings folder except for the default files and it still does the
mute thing. I am running XPSP3 Home, Jaws10 & Jaws11 latest. Does anyone
know why this muting thing is happening? It does not do it using Jaws10.
If anyone has any ideas on how I can fix this annoying problem, I am open to all suggestions. All help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks much. Take
care.
Mike
