Hello Patricia;
well, if your looking for a specific message, in your OE folders,
and, you do use the f3-key,
once you press the f3-key,
now tab to advance,press enter.
now, you can search for specific criteria,
email address,
subject,
etc.
hope this helps.

Hmmm, this seems to be complicated.
If I pressed the f3 to search for an email in my deleted folder, it does
that, but if I wish to search for another, I have to move to anotehr
folder, otherwise all I get is, the same message box I already stated.
Now if I press control/shift/f that gives me more options as well as a
browse button to choose the folder to look in for said email. Then I can
tab down to the "new search button."
If I go to another folder within OE using the "f3" I can get more options
and it too has the browse and advance buttons, which is exactly the same
if you pressed control/shift/f.
But personally, it's both tedious and time consuming to locate an email
this way, I can find it faster just doing it myself.
A note...if you change the location to search in a folder using the
control/shift/f and browse to buttons, it gives you a drop down list of
all your folders within OE. Unless I am doiing something wrong which
certainly could be the case, the "f3" only searches in the folder you are
in at the time you pressed the key combo.
Happy searchin' y'all,lol
Patricia

ok thanks, I tried this and it was ok, but say I wanted to look for
another email, every time I pressed the f3, it just gave me the previous
one I had searched for again as well as a message asking if I wanted to
start at the top again yes/no.
Is there a way to clear out the search string to start a new one?
Thanks,
Patricia

Is there a command or hotkeys to look for emails within folders in OE?
I had deleted one and needed it back and having 130 deleted emails to
look through was getting extremely tedious, but I couldn't seem to
find any key combo to evoke a search.
I'm sure there is one, but I can't recall what it is?
Thanks,
Patricia
