Latest OpenBook 8 works ok on Windows 7 64-bit.
I have not tried all options in OpenBook, but scanning and reading works
great.
Braille also works fine with the latest version of OpenBook 8 on Win 7.

You'll need the OpenBook install CD from September 2009 to use it
successfully with Win 7 64-bit.
I tried an older version but then I could not use Braille etc.

I can see only OpenBook 8 being listed on their downloads area. OpenBook
9 therefore isn't out just yet, but yes, that is the next major version
of OpenBook.
