Recently, my desktop was not accessible with the Windows-key+M or Windows-key+D. If you will go to the JAWS window, go up to the menu that begins with Options. If you will arrow up to Manage Application Settings, there may well be a small number of applications that are marked with a check box. This means that the programs have been modified with the configuration manager or specific scripts. You have choices with buttons that are found when you tap the tab key after the list of applications. If there are any strange applications, ones that you do not recognize for your usage, remove them. What you want to do is to remove any unwanted applications from this list with the buttons that follow the list of applications.
