Hi Michelle,
This is an off-the-wall guess, but if you have update set to
automatically download and install, sometimes after the installation
it requires a restart of the computer. If that dialogue box comes up
while you're working, it should ask you if you want to restart now or
later. This happened to me and while trying to figure out what was
going on, I accidently activated the restart now button and it did.
I did receive an update for something last night which is what
brought this to mind.
