Robin,
If you will contact FS tech support they can send you a file to update
your dongle. Just save the file they send you, go to the dongle viewer and
tab to, update. Navigate to the file you saved and then tab to, submit.
I am also having an authorization problem that began with this laptop
several months ago. Whenever I would install a program or a driver, I would
lose my authorization. It happened so frequently that FS finally denied any
new authorizations for me. I was forced to switch to using a dongle and
even now I have to update my dongle no fewer times than 3 or 4 times a week.
It keeps reverting back to Windows Home for some reason. So until FS
figures out the authorization problem then I am stuck with the problem.

Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Strange activation question
Folks, I have another weird activation question. I have a laptop using
JAWS 9 and a dongle for activation. When used with a docking station the
dongle is recognized and one gets full functionality. If one takes the
laptop of the docking station and puts in the dongle I only get forty
minute mode. I have tried in both admin and in regular mode to activate
the dongle by re-initialize authorization. I have uninstalled and
re-installed the sentinal drivers. I have even uninstalled JAWS all
together and reinstalled it and still on the docking station I get full
functionality and when taking off I only get forty minute mode. I have
used all of the USB ports. I have tried three different dongle's. Of
course I am still using XP and we will not be upgrading to win 7 or JAWS
11 anytime soon. This just suddenly occurred after two years of use both
on and off the docking station without any issue. Any help would be
appreciated.

Ar ok. Like I say it's sorted now but thought it was strange as I have
never seen an earlier version of JAWS not recognizing the authorization
yet the later one did. I even tried to re-initialize the authorization
in JAWS 11 but only found serial number 801 (demo mode).
Anyway it's sorted now. Keep the suggestions coming. Curious minds wants
to know! Smiles.

Hello Chris.
I believe FS has fixed this activation issue. I am running win 7 on my
laptop, and have not had this issue.

Hello all.
I activated JAWS 12 beta last night. I ran JAWS 11 this morning only
to find it was running in 40 minute mode. I had to therefore activate
that version as well.
Has this happened to anyone else?
This is on Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit.
