I think you are actually wanting to put a password on the BIOS? Once this is
done no-one can use the computer at all unless they enter the correct
password. However you would need sighted help in order to do this as the
bios is not accessible with speech?

Another way to do it is to go to User Account and delete all the accounts
listed apart from your own. The put a password on your own ccount and ensure
the Guest Account is disabled.

Hi all;
    I have XP home.
I am trying to create a password for use as the computer turns on.
When I go to user accounts and click on administrator and follow the steps
to create a password and hear that the password is on.
However, when I start up my computer, I get no prompt to edit the password,
and the computer is accessible to all.

How can I set a password so that only I can use the computer?
