Total recorder records sound from several sources I.e. internet, sound
files, etc etc etc. I think you can edit sound somewhat, but goldwave is
much better for that task.

i just wanted to let those who use total recorder with jaws that v8.02 now
voices menus correctly when you hit the alt key in jaws v11 and v12. You
don't have to hit alt and the letter key together anymore if you don't
want too.
