Hi there,

I know exactly how you feel but how odd it is that the same program works so differently for users. I would have said jaws 12 is much better than 11.

You would of thought that by now Jaws would do just about anything but everyone keeps updating everything and it messes us all up, progress I guess, keeps people in work some would say.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Sorry, but I need to rant about v12 of JAWS!

Good morning,

I've been a supporter of JAWS since version 2.x. Always have stayed
up-to-date on my SMA. Never have I been totally dismayed with a major
update until version 12.x.

This has got to be the worst release of JAWS I've ever tried.

First graphics it use to read as so, it now recognizes them as
buttons. Quite irritating when you use quick navigation keys to jump
to certain elements of a web page to read it faster.

And it is quite the memory hog! JAWS 12.x crashes so much on my
high-end Windows 7 machine, I've gone back to using 11.x. Think it
has something to do with the Virtual Ribbon or new fangled Config
manager, who knows. Anycase, it is very irritating to be reading a
web page, only to have it go silent for 3 minutes, and then JAWS comes back.

Sorry HJ, but I hate v12 of JAWS and have gone back to using v11.x
perminantly. It's more stable and doesn't crash every 5 minutes.

Wish you allowed us to switch the config manager back to the old
one. Do away with using this new Virtual Ribbon. Give us a choice to
switch them on and off.

If I get booted for expressing my feelings on this list, so be it.
Never done this before, until now.

Feel better getting this off my chest. Thanks for listening.
