Hi Patti,

Flip 3D displays Windows in a stack. It is part of the aero theme. It is a
visually-pleasing display of open files and folders or other windows to a
person looking at the screen. A mouse user doesn't have to click the
taskbar to see the open windows as they are presented in a stack on the
screen. The top of the stack shows one open window and a person using a
mouse can quickly flip between the other stacked windows. When flip 3D is
active then a person can use up or right arrow key to move forward one
window at a time and left and down arrow keys to move backward one window at
a time. Again though, although there are Windows 7 keystrokes associated
with this Windows element, it really doesn't benefit JAWS users. Alt+tab
displays each windows thumbnail in Windows 7 or each window's icon in XP and
is the best method for JAWS users to cycle between open windows. The person
who wrote the Email that I was responding to just asked for keystrokes
specific to Windows 7 and so I sent the list I had for those keystrokes
relevant to the taskbar. Again, mouse users do not have to click on the
taskbar if they are using the aero theme and have started flip 3D.

Take care.

Hey Brian,
What does it mean when you say
flip 3-d
