I read a lot of books from bookshare on my computer using Jaws 11. In the
dialog I often come across an ellipsis. I wish to silence it, but haven't
been able to do so. Putting it in the Jaws dictionary manager, hasn't
worked.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Many thanks in advance! Vicky

Hi Kimsan;
To do what you are wanting to do, I think you will have to do this in the
default dictionary manager. Otherwise 3 periods is called an ellipsis.
Take care.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] punctuation setting for the period
Hello:
If I want jaws to pronounce 3 periods as in dot dot dot as oppose to
period
period period how can I do this?
I am using the latest jaws 12 by the way. I'm thinking by setting the
spoken
level to some or most might do the trick but I haven't done that yet.
Thanks.
