Hello Graham; well, my only other answer to your question, why are the emails going to both inbox and your jaws folder is; maybe, when you were setting up the message rule/filter, you didn't select all button, and maybe you just went to apply now button.
if you go into your message rules, alt/o/r, you will land in your message rules, here you could modify any of the rules, and you can also remove any rule you wish not to have. hope this helps. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Graham Smith" <g.smith...@rogers.com> To: <jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 08, 2011 11:34 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Message Rules. Ok thanks I guess this is where things are going wrong, why are they going into my inbox if i have set a message rule to move them to my jaws folder anyway. Guess I'll have another look sometime. Thanks again Graham -----Original Message----- From: david Sent: Tuesday, February 08, 2011 11:10 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Message Rules. lo Graham; well, I'm not really sure about that. I would check to see which rules you have created, you'll need to select/delete the rule which places the files into your inbox. I'm not ecperiencing that behavior here. of course the other thing is, you could start fresh. sorry, I can't help you their. -----Original Message----- From: Graham Smith Sent: Tuesday, February 08, 2011 11:01 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Message Rules. Thanks David Is there a way of moving the messages to that folder so as they dont show in my inbox as well as my jaws folder? Currently everything goes into my in box and the jaws message rule is working but when I delete from my inbox the jaws messages get deleted from the jaws folder as well. regards Graham -----Original Message----- From: David Sent: Tuesday, February 08, 2011 10:48 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Message Rules. hello there; okay, here's the steps I used to create a message filter for the latest version of WLM, and, I'm going to use, jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com as an example. 1, open Windows Live Mail; 2, you first need to create a folder for the, jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com messages. so, press applications key, up arrow and enter on, new folder; now type the name of folder. note, if you want the newly created folder on the same level, tab and up arrow you will hear; the name of your account opened. now that you have your folder created; 1, alt-key, followed by, the letter "o"&the letter "r". you will land in the message rule criteria. first you need to select the first criteria, I will choose, Where the To or CC line contains people now, check this with the spacebar; now tab, and press spacebar to check, move it to the specified folder; now, tab twice, here you give the rule a name, jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com now shift+tab, and arrow and enter on, Where the To or CC line contains people now your being asked; to select a name, you can type in; jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com now tab and enter on, add. next you need to down arrow until you hear; Where the To or CC line contains Contacts...
