Here's what I do to get to the volume CTRL in windows 7.
1. click on computer
2. click on local disc: (c)
3. Click on windows (press w until you hear windows)
4. Now press the letter s or s y s t e m until you get to system 32 and
press enter
5. Now type SND until you get to sndvol.exe and press enter to look at the
volume mixer.
If you do not want to take that long route, once you are on the sndvol.exe
option, you can bring up the context menu and send it to the desktop (or
where ever you prefer), pin it to the taskbar, start menue etc for quicker
access.
I renamed the sndvol.exe to volume CTRL and just placed it on my desktop, so
I wouldn't have to take the seenick route.
I hope this is what you were looking for, if not, hopefully someone will
bennefit from what I just wrote.:)
Have a good day.

Hi Fanus,
In Windows 7, open the start menu, and type the word volume in the search
box
you should get a list of results which you can down arrow thru.
These results will vary from computer to computer, but try looking for
adjust system volume.
