Yes, that is what I noticed as well. I got better results when I chose standard. Insert 5 will give you the colors and insert F will give you font style along with the colors. I guess it just depends on how much information you want.

I selected the text, pressed the applications key, went to font, and changed the font color to red. Then went back and confirmed that it was red with insert F.
