I enter number a lot both on and off the phone. I have the num lock on all the time. I have my keyboard layout set to Laptop so use the laptop JAWS keys for my JAWS commands.

I myself would feel worried about using my "Num Pad", as I often use the "Num Pad" for JAWS or Windows commands, even "routing PC to JAWS".
