Bank of America has just come out with a new program called Rapport that is supposed to supplement antivirus software in protecting online communications. I am running XP, IE 8, and Jaws 12, latest update. I installed Rapport, and it protected me by making Internet Explorer 8.0 totally unusable. No links on any page I went to. I tried using the Rapport console to shut down; no luck. Unable to shut it down, and unable to uninstall it from the control panel. When I tried uninstalling, a web page came up which I browsed with the Jaws cursor. I clicked on Chat with a representative, and it said sorry, nobody is available.
I ended up having to do a system restore to get rid of it. I'll be curious to know if others have success with this program. Yes, I've already sent a message to Bank of America.
