Good Day List Members:
On this issue, I would agree with Alan. The Accessible Search does work
very well with JAWS of any version you may have. Thank you.

I can't locate any setting in Outlook 2007 that controls code for in-coming
messages, only out-going. Also, I tried adding one of the weird codes to the
dictionary once again, and it did not work- again.

I'm using outlook Express, but it'd be in a similar (view) menu or Ribbon.
Look in there. it has to do with Windows encoding. there may be an Encoding
submenu, which lists all the windows encoding types. the one I have checked
is Western European iso, and I never have the problem (although I've heard
of it in the past from people who had. that's the way towards the solution.
If not in the view menu, then look in others.
the view ribbon?)

I'd like to find a way to personalize Google with that change, so my home
page would always come up without instant search, but the address bar did
not change after taking that link to turn off Google instant search.

Hi Flor,

I know what screen you're talking about but, I can't find it. In the past
Jaws would read that screen as soon as Google opened or, I could arrow up or

down the homepage to find it. For whatever reason I can't find it now but,
I did something right because Jaws isn't reading that Table 8 crap anymore!
I'm just not sure which time I kicked the computer that fixed it! LOL LOL
It seems like after I toggled navigation quick keys to off in Jaws options
it stopped reading Table 8. Well, let's see if it stays working right!
Thank you very much for your response. Take care.
Mike

  Mike,

There's a link that says, "screen-reader users, turn off google
Instant". have you done that? (If you come across the message, whatever
you set it to before, turn off Google Instant again.)

  Take it easy.

Hi Alan,

I have tried this in the past & I'm going to try it again. What I don't
like about is that it doesn't number its search results. But, I guess it is

something that just might take some getting used to! I did get the regular
Google working correctly but, I'll give this a try to see if after getting
used to it how I like it. Thanks much, take care.

  Dear Mike,
  Why not give
  Google Accessible
  a try!

I mean, they designed it and put it out especially for we Blind or
Visually
Impaired Computer users, very nice of them, and it works really great with
  JAWS!
A breath of fresh air I must say to have a company go out of their way
like
Google did with this search engine!!

I don't think you can have it permanent, unless for instance you never
delete your Temporary Internet Files or never do a disk cleanup. It
seems to be Google's default value to have Instant Search on.

No. those are the wrong places and are not the coding I referred to.
We're looking at Windows encoding. From the message list, look in the
View Ribbon or menu, for the Windows encobing subribbon or submenu,
however you get to it. The problem is that people's apostrophes and
quote marks are not being recognised properly, or that they're not
conforming to your software's set of what it thinks they should be.
Assistance from somebody who's actually using Outlook 2007 or Outlook
2010 may be sought to clarify. or, try using the JAWS virtual Ribbon in
outlook 2007 message list or Inbox, with the preceding steps.
