Hmmmmm. When I press alt-ctrl-i JAWS says 'overtype'; and when I press it again JAWS says 'insert'.

I have Word 2010 and JAWS 12, but this key stroke has worked since Word 2000.

Ann,
When I press alt+control+i Jaws announces insert mode active. When I press those keys again it still says insert mode active and type over is not activated. Am I doing something wrong?

To toggle between typeover and insert modes, press alt-control-i.

Hello everyone,
I am using latest Jaws 12.0.1170 on a windows XP pro desktop computer. In word 2007 how do you turn on/off type over mode. Pressing the insert key does not seem to work.
