Yes, we did use Excel for a time, but when it comes to tracking sales and inventory, everything had to be input manually as we purchased or sold, but it looks like this software will keep track for us once we do the initial inventory entry. With the spreadsheets, each time I purchased from a distributor or sold a part from inventory, I had to remember to enter that data into my spreadsheet or my figures and inventory weren't accurate. At times it gets far too busy at the shop to keep notes and remember to update my spreadsheets. If this will help us, that will be most excellent!

Check the archives, sounded like a great program. Have you considered Excel and simply designing what you need in some spreadsheets? The tech said we would not be able to use QuickBooks for everything we would like to do, but gave us the link to download a trial version of Cash Manager. He said FS has had good reports on its accessibility. So I'm wondering if any of you here have used it before. I have the trial version installed and have begun to explore features and accessibility. So far I really like what the program can do and it looks promising. It would be nice to find some others who are experienced users.
