Hi don David, & Larry,

I was talking to a friend about placing folders on the start menu & I was
informed that a person needs to take ownership of certain folders that
Windows7 doesn't allow access to in order to do so. If you want to put
folders in the start menu accessed by the Windows key, you need to have
access to the start menu folder that is in the your name folder located in
the User folder of the root of the Windows7 folder, Local Disk C. This is
a hidden system folder. In this start menu folder there is a Programs
folder that folders can be placed into then, only after folders are placed
into this Programs folder will they show up in the All Programs folder that
is accessed via the Windows Key. I haven't tried running any shortcut
keystrokes this way yet but, after I do I'll let you all know they worked.
Take care.
Mike

I am not aware of any way to add a folder to the Start menu. Individual
files and programs can be added by locating them in Windows Explorer and
pressing Shift + Application keys and hitting Enter on "Pin to Start
menu". Holding the Shift key while hitting the Application key adds a
few interesting extra items in the menu.
