Hi Rich,
Here are 2 explanations on how to do this.
#1:
1. While in Word, press Insert / Jaws key + V, for quick settings.
2. Arrow down a couple of times to the tree view
3. Press the letterT, until you get to, Tab Measurement Indication, press
the spacebar to uncheck this box, & press enter to save the changes & close.
#2:
1. While in Word, press Insert / Jaws key + V, for quick settings.
2. Type Tab, into the Search box, & wait for the list to populate.
3. Arrow down to, Tab Measurement Indication, press the spacebar to uncheck
this box, & press enter to save the changes & close.
If someone has another way I would be interested in learning it as well.

Hi all;
I have XP and13.0.
I just updated to 13.0 and when I am in Microsoft word, JAWS reads tabs,
for example, when I am at the top of the page, I hear 1 inch.
or, before a certain line I hear 1.5 inches.
I am not sure where to turn this off.
I can not get JAWS to announce the - symbol.

Oh, lately, I have sent messages to JAWS and they would not appear in my
