Hi Lenny,

From your prior emails I thought you were running Windows Mail, not Windows
Live Mail. They are 2 different email clients & I don't know if they have
the same or similar ways of creating group lists' or not. I only have
experience, & limited at that, with Windows Mail. Sorry I can't give any
help with Windows Live Mail. Take care.

Yes, this is the contact list not the wlm address contacts. In the contact list I have about 20 entries with phone numbers that sinc with my i Phone.
The windows live mail contacts or address I have over 100 addresses and 5
 groups.
So I would want to create a group in wlm contacts not the user contact
list.

 Hi Lenny,

 Try going to your contacts folder in;

 C:\Users\NameFolder\Contacts\

 1. Open the contacts folder.
 2. Tab to the organize button.
 3. Now, right arrow to, New Contact Group button & follow the steps below
 from there .

1.Tab to the Organize button, which is the first control on the Toolbar.
2.Press Right Arrow until you get to the New Contact Group button, and
then
 press it.
3.A Contact Group Properties dialog opens. This is a two page dialog, and
it
opens on the Contact Group page, which is described in detail in the
Editing
Contact Groups section below. However, the following steps describe how to
name the group and add existing contacts.
4.Type a name for the group into the Group Name edit box.
5.To add existing Contacts to the group, Tab to the Add to Contact Group
 button, and press it.
6.An Add Members to Contract Group dialog opens, which has a similar
layout
to the standard Vista Open dialog. By default the view of the Folder view
is
Tiles, so the first time you use this dialog it's worth setting the view
to
List. To do this, press Shift + Tab twice to move to the Folder view, but
do
not select any files. Open the context menu, then open the View sub-menu,
 and choose List.
7.In the Folder view, select one or more Contacts or Contact Groups, and
then press Enter to press the default Add button.
8.You're returned to the Contact Group Properties dialog, where the focus
is
the Add to Contact Group button. Because the focus is a button, you can't
just press Enter to press the default OK button. Instead, either Tab all
the
way to the OK button and press it, or just Tab to a control which isn't a
button or a link, and then press Enter. Sending messages using your
contact
groups In a similar manner to using contacts, you can send messages using
 your
contact groups either in a New message window, or from your Contacts
folder.

In a new message window, you can type in the names of contact groups, just
as you would the names of contacts. When the message is sent, the name of
 the
group is replaced by all the addresses of the contacts.

 Alternatively, in your Contacts folder:

1.Select a Contact group. (In fact you can select more than one contact
 group, and contacts as well.)
2.Open the context menu, then open the Action sub-menu (access key A), and
then press Enter to choose the first menu item which is Send E-mail.
3.A New Message window opens. All the contacts in the contacts group are
already entered in the To edit box, and the focus is at the end of the
Edit
 box.
Editing Contact Groups To edit a Contact Group in your Contacts folder,
select it and press Enter. A Properties dialog for the Contact Group
opens,
 and
you can then change and add information in this dialog.

The Contact group properties dialog is used both for creating and editing
contact groups. The dialog has two pages: Contact Group and Contact Group
 details.
The latter contains controls for optional data that you might want to give
about the group. The controls on the Contact Group page are:

.A Group Name edit box. .An Add to Contact Group button for adding
existing
contacts or groups to this group. This was described above in the Creating
a
new contact group section. .A Create New Contact button for creating a new
contact and adding it to the group. .A "List of group members" list view.
.A
Remove Selected Contacts button. However to remove one or more contacts,
it's easier just to select them in the List of group members, and then
press
 Delete.
.Contact Name and E-Mail edit boxes, and a Create for group only button,
for
adding a contact to the group but not to your Contacts.

 Hope this helped. Take care.
 Mike

It use to work that way for me. I do not know what was changed. If I use
shift control c while a message is opened the contact list is presented
with
the first entry already selected and I can only go through the list. If
the
email is closed the key combo brings me directly into the add an
individual
contact where I am first to enter the name etc.
I somehow lost the ability to add a group.

 Hello there;
If you're wanting to create a contacts group in windows-mail try the
 following;

 1, open windows mail.

2, bring up the contacts with ctrl+shift+c=contact.
Note you will hear not selected, and the first name/email,
 Don't move the arrow keys,

You most likely want the status-bar and the list checked,
So bring up the view menu, alt+v=view,
If the status bar isn't checked, press the enter key,
Perform the same steps and enter on list.
Now you're ready to create your new contact group.

 While sitting in your contacts,

 1, shift+tab twice,
 You should hear;
 Command module tool bar,
 Organize button,

 2, now press the right arrow key until you hear;
New contact group button, press enter.
Now you've landed in the properties,
You're in an edit field where you need to type in the group name.

3, now you have to choices,
To add a contact to the group,
 Either, tab to add button,
Or you could simply press, alt+a=add.

4, shift+tab once to access the contacts list,
 Note you will hear,
 Not selected.

5, holding down the ctrl-key, use your down arrow key,
And press enter on a desired name you wish to add to the new contact
group.
 Once you've completed that task,
 Press the enter key.

Now you can simply tab over to the okay button and press enter.

Now if you look in your contacts list,
You should see the group you've created.
If you press enter on the group name,
You can look to see what email/names are in there.
To remove entry from the group,
Tab to the list of contacts,
Highlight the entry which you would like to remove,
And tab to the remove button press enter.

 Hope this helps.

 Hi Becky,

 Try the following;

here's how it's done for WM..

available on the toolbar, but not on any of the menus. So to create a new
