One way to fix it and it should:
1. If you haven't done so then go to Add/remove programs and uninstall anything
that remotely resembles 'bing' in the listing.
2. Hit the windows key to go to the windows7 edit search field and type
msconfig. then go to the services tab, make sure 'hide all Microsoft services'
is unchecked and then go down the long list there to see if you can find any
listing with the word 'bing' in it. uncheck them, hit apply, then Ok and then
you need to restart your computer.
3. Again go to the windows search edit field by hitting the windows key and
type regedit. In the results, hit enter on regedit.exe.
Now no need to be scared of screwing up your registry as if all you do is what
I say below you will be just fine. You don't need to be any PC expert to do
this in your registry. Once in the registry after hitting enter on
regedit.exe, hit control F and type in bing. then hit alt F. You are searching
for any entry in the super vast registry files and folders for any entry with
the words bing in it. Each time you land on a result, hit the delete button,
ignore any doom/gloom msg and accept the yes button. After deleting the first
entry with the word bing in it, hit F3 to jump to continue the same search and
repeat the delete process if it finds another entry with 'bing' in it. Hit F3
again and so on and so forth until you have deleted every registry entry with
the word 'bing' in it.

good luck.

It refuses to go completely away, it is a search engine and I have
uninstalled it numerous times and the next day it is back and then I just
tell IE to not use it. I am annoyed because it is intrusive.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Optional windows update, bing

Hi everyone,

I checked my Windows updates and found an optional update, Bing. This seems
to be kind of a search engine. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Thank you,

Russ
