First, Ctrl+3 takes you into the contacts, Now tab once, type in a name, Press enter, Now shift+tab, you should see the name, Next, Go back to the inbox, Either by, ctrl+1, or, Ctrl+y=go to, and press i=inbox, press enter. Press shift+tab one time and it will say Search by. The two choices are Name only and more columns. If more columns is checked, you won't see any names in the list. So make sure that name only is checked by selecting it using the arrow keys..
