Hi,
Like someone else that posted here, when I first began using Win 8, I loved it too until I started trying to do more of the things I'm used to doing and discovered some of its inaccessibility issues so I reverted back to 7 and that was a nightmare. I don't like that I could never get the Weather or news app to read with either JAWS or NVDA. I did not like that I could not use the built in chat feature. I was also disappointed that the built in mail program wasn't accessible for me. I'm happy in Windows 7 again till things are more accessible with 8.

That is kind of a broad question. Is it worth the upgrade in terms of
what?

Just to generalize, my take would be as follows:

If things perform as you like now, then it is probably not worth the
upgrade. If you want quicker boot-up times, you may get them with
Windows 8. If you are an access trainer, as I was, then you might want
to put it on your system either as an upgrade, or as a dual-boot so you
can become familiar with some of the new features as the experience is
quite a bit different from earlier versions of Windows.
