If I understand correctly you are invoking the system tray command and then insert escape, at that point focus returns to the system tray. The fact is it never occurred to me to do that but this is what is happening here as well. The fact is though I don't really consider it a bug because simply hitting the escape key again closes out the system tray. In other words in my opinion it is not an issue.
