George,
With my sighted husband's help I ultimately reset the password without JAWS,
or rather he did. I'm not entirely sure how or why, but since then I've been
in the app store and purchased several free and one paid app without
problems. I haven't heard of anyone else having this kind of problem so it
may have been something on my system or a bad day on their end, who knows?
I've heard several people describe good experience with Apple tech support.
However, I'm obviously glad I didn't have to go there.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] cannot input itunes password
Hi listers,
I’m using JAWS 12 on a Windows 7 machine and I have somehow managed to
create an Apple ID after several attempts and with some sighted assistance,
and even received the confirmation email that Apple had accepted it. Also,
my sighted son was successful in entering it when setting up my new Ipod
Touch. However, I have not actually used it to make purcheases yet and when
I went into the app store with my PC itunes did not seem to recognize my
username. Also, I attempted both with and without the virtual cursor to
input my password without success, and I am seeing what appears to be the
initial signup with user agreement etc. As a new Ipod Touch user, dealing
with passcodes vs. Apple ID on the devices has in share of challenges. Any
advice on this much appreciated.
Susan
