Hi Brian, There are so many kinds of print types font sizes etc, that it is hard to obtain good scan results each time. One thing you can try, is changing the OCR engine that OpenBook is using, such as Fine Reader, Recognita etc. I am not using version 9 right now, so I can't tell you exactly which menu those choices are in. Also, you can setup Openbook version 9 to use Jaws keystrokes if I remember correctly, and if not, hopefully someone will correct me. HTH, Rick Justice Tomorrow's another day, another way! and if tomorrow never comes, problem solved! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brian Mackey" <bmacke...@gmail.com> To: "JAWS-Users List" <jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com> Sent: Thursday, November 21, 2013 7:11 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] scanning files with OpenBook 9.0 Hello All, I have been using OpenBook 9.0 for a little bit over a year now. I notice that certain files that I scan don't scan very accurately. I use a Epson printer and scanner combo. Some of the items that I scan give me gibberish that wasn't part of the original document. When I spoke with Freedom Scientific, they weren't very helpful in telling me how to generate a more accurate scan. I already have my workflow set to Most Accurate. If anyone have any suggestions on how to generate a more accurate scanning experience I will greatly appreciate them. Thank you.
