Maybe in the meantime you can google braille Pen and JAWS. You may need
(and I'm speculating here) to download some driver file from Dolphin (or
the - manufacturers - site) to make it compatible with JAWS. I may
search myself, also, as I've also heard nention of the pen lately.

more research on Braille displays and found the Braille Pen sold
through Flying Blind for just under $1,000.
Unfortunately, the sails rep won't be back until Monday, so I can't
get the dimensions or wait of the Braille Pen.
I was told by Freedomscientific, that their Focus 14, is the size of a
dollar bill and waighing 2 pounds, costs $1,295 .
Has anyone on this list seen both and can compare them for us?
I would be very grateful for any information you might have about
them, both good and bad.

I think you're talking about the Focus 18?
I saw the tiny one on demo last year, and its great.
I can personally recommend it.
Don't know about JAWS compatibility since I only tried it on an IOS
device but it is an FS product so it should work.

that is Jaws compatible and iPhone friendly and connects either by
