To find out which version of IE you have, click on the About Internet Explorer option on the Help menu, and use the JAWS cursor to read the version number, which should be at the top of the page.

finding the jaws version worked just fine, but after hitting the keys
to find the i.e. version, internet options opens, and since i don't
know what could happen if i opened a heading, i closed the page. any
suggestions?
