Hi Kate,

If you want a short cut key to start a program, you will need a shortcut on
your desktop for the program. When you have this, focus on the desktop icon,
and then open the properties from the comtext menu. It should be focused on
the Shortcut tab. Now, tab down until you hear JAWS say "Shortcut key/Hot
key" and there will be "None". Then simply type in the key combination that
you wish to use. Now tab down to Apply and press enter, then tab back to OK
and press enter again. Now, test out your hotkey key.

hth,

I'm using JAWS 13 and windows 7.

I need to add a hot key stroke to a new program. Could someone please send
me instructions on how to do it.

Thanks in advance.
