The only way I have been able to tell is to take a USB 3 device and plug it
in. When you plug in to a USB 2 port, it tells you it can run faster in a
USB 3 port. When plugging it into a USB 3 port, it says nothing.

Hi

Well, it looks like that sighted assistance is the only way to identify USB
3.0 ports.

I've wondered the same. How can you tell without sighted assistance?

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Finding USB 3.0 ports

Hi

With Windows 7 and JAWS 16, if you have a computer with both USB 2.0 and USB
3.0 ports, is there a way to determine which ports are USB 3.0 other than
the colors on the case?

Thanks.
