Yes, well said. My experience is the same. On my particular
tower, it is easy as the group of four on the back are 2.0
and the pair farther down are 3.0

The only way I have been able to tell is to take a USB 3
device and plug it in. When you plug in to a USB 2 port, it
tells you it can run faster in a USB 3 port. When plugging
it into a USB 3 port, it says nothing.

USB 2.0 and USB
3.0 ports, is there a way to determine which ports are USB
3.0 other than the colors on the case?
