[JAWS-Users] McAfee internet security suite

Hi all after I upgraded to windows 8.1 i found that McAfee scan was fast 
until it got to 99 percent then it seems to to get stuck on scanning 
rootkits has anyone on the list experienced this with McAfee scanning?
does anyone know how to make it scan a little faster.
