Jim,

Those instructions can't be right.  Typing RUN from the run dialog won't 
open anything.

There are two ways to see what version of flash you are running:

1.  Go to control panel and look for flashplayer.
Under the advanced tab, where the update settings are, you can see your 
current version using the Jaws cursor.

2.  Open your browser.  Go to the Tools, Add-ons page.  Look under all 
add-ons, or currently loaded add-ons if you know Flash is running.  Under 
the list of add-ons, you will see Shockwave Flash with the version number 
indicated.

Press Windows key and r (should get you to the run menu.  Then type
run.  Flash should come up.  Press the JAWS key, CNTRL and V
simultaneously and the version of flash player should come up.
JAWS,CNTRL,V is a JAWS command.
