Correct. With JAWS running on the system tray, you will not encounter JAWS when alt tabbing. The last stage of the JAWS installation process will automatically bring up the startup wizard. One of the options in there is a checkbox, off by default, to have JAWS reside in the system tray. Check that box. You can always re-do the startup wizard. Go into JAWS, then help, then startup wizard.
