When I used Word 2003, it was so easy to install numbering protocols on the permanent template. It took about 2 minutes, tops. Now in 2010, what a nightmare. After 3 MS Disabilities desk specialists failed miserably, how are we expected to accomplish this previously routine task?!? It is imperative that I have pages numbered at the bottom center of all documents that I generate. I was reminded by an editor that if someone accidentally dropped my hard copy submission, how would anybody ever straighten out the mess? Some professionals prefer to read a lengthy document that is not stapled or in a notebook, for example. Some of my documents are in excess of 200 pages+. As was said previously, when I write, the last concern I need to concern myself with is placing a page number at the bottom and which one should it be besides. This gives you a little background why I must one way or another have the ability to print page numbers on all pages of every docx painlessly. For this reason, this numbering feature must be installed on the permanent template, it seems to me. “Lend nme your eyes and you can borrow my mind.” Liudytė Balčiūtė -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Lisle, Ted (CHFS DMS) Sent: Tuesday, February 03, 2015 2:10 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Numbering in Word 2010 Not as bad as placing footnotes, something I haven't had to do in more than 30 years, but I take the point. It should be possible to set up the project the way you want it, and just go. The only thing on your mind, once you begin, should be saying what needs to be said in the best way possible. I haven't fooled with page numbers for a while, but sounds as if I need to look at that again. When working on a multi-page project you have enough on your mind without numbering pages. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of TheHangMan Sent: Tuesday, February 03, 2015 1:00 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Numbering in Word 2010 Flor, I was waiting for someone to write to me. The time you spent writing the docs and proof reading them, if you type in the page number as you go along, Everything would have been done. Excuse me for my back yard mechanic skills. I need to change the permanent template so that a number is put on every page, at the bottom in the center. I would prefer, if I do not have a number on the first page, if this is possible. Does anybody know how I can make this permanent change on the template? I tried everything imaginable, but nothing seems to work. Thanks in advance for your help.
