Ok, well it does open when I press the button. I can put a disk inside with label up and position it over the center part to secure it's in place. I can close the door, and it will make some sounds like it's going to spin, then nothing.
I haven't tried to look at explorer while disk is in the burner, I will do that. One thing, I did hear from something regarding the auto-play, it stated something was disabled. I don't know what it was. I have played around with the settings on each item. I even did a help from windows and found out to select "ennhance" run or run in enhance mode, I saved the changes and even rebooted, but nothing changed. I wiped off the disk with a clean soft shammy like cloth. I'll see what else I can find out, and get back to yall. When you push the button, will the drive open? If so, when you insert a disk, and close the drive, does the disk seem to spin or not? Are you making sure to seat the disk on the spindle, before closing the drive? Are you making sure to insert the disk labeled side up? If you are able to insert a disk, , after doing so, you should try viewing the contents of the disk via Windows Explorer, because it may be that a disk will not run automatically, if the auto-play for the drive is disabled. So you can see, that there can be many responses to your question, especially if we don't have more specific details.
