I know. My point was that WindowsE starts an instance of Windows Explorer (as it always has), but which now has and implies My Computer announced at the top level.

You don't get that with Windows 7. You get disc drives.

In older Windows versions, WindowsE brought you to the Desktop: and the
first item thereon that you down-arrowed to was My Computer. Next down was
the 3½-inch floppy disk drive, so you usually avoided that by pressing
down-arrow twice quickly, to get to the main drive.

Hi J,
For all intents and purposes, yes.
You are using Windows Explorer anytime you navigate around Windows, such as
the Desktop, the Start Menu, My Computer etc.
Just think of it as a computer browser, much like Internet Explorer is a web
browser.

Tomorrow's another day, another way!
and if tomorrow never comes, problem solved!

Subject: [JAWS-Users] windows update

Hi all,
I have just noticed that I have two windows update one in control
panel and one in internet explorer 11 under the tools menu.
My question is which of the two should I use the one in control panel
or the one in internet explorer 11 under the tools menu?
or does it matter ?
I have been using the windows update icon in control panel.
I am using windows 8.1 on a 64 bit machine and jaws 15 .
thanks in advance
